Leaving Dunedin, and the flight in general was fairly boring… There were a couple of things to note. Firstly, I’d heard of how close the seats are packed together on Freedom Air but it didn’t quite imagine *how* close they were going to be.
I thought it was going to be a bit of an issue but luckily enough, the plane wasn’t full, I got a window seat, then I got a whole row to myself. Weird, but not unwelcome.
We must have been offloaded at the really quiet end of Sydney International. There weren’t many people around at all. From off the plane to outside the terminal, only 10 mins. Weird, but not unwelcome.
And then, as I had predicted, as soon as I got on terra firma in Sydney, it started blowing, then it started raining, then it started releasing flashes of lightning… I knew it was going to pack in as soon as I got here. But it is much warmer… much much warmer.
Seeing Richie again was cool. Unfortunately he’s working at the moment. He tells me that its normally fairly quiet on this shift but it has been very busy with stream after stream of people coming in.
Hopefully, we’re off for a feed and a beer shortly…

Hey babe, glad you got their safely Hope you are having a fantastic time. Told you the seats were close! One time when I was flying on my own I had a bit fat guy next to me, it was much like a tin of sardines!
It makes me feel a little less jealous that you are also getting crappy weather Hope it fines up enough for you to go to the beach at least a couple of times
Have you had red rooster yet? Have you made any comments in reference to the castle yet?
Better go, love ya lots

Great website John. Do we get photos too? I would like to see only good summer ones cos I been been packing my bag for next week and have only summer clothes that I haven’t tried on yet and no raincoats. Talk to you both tomorrow on the big day. When would be a good time to ring?
Lots of love, Mummy

Hello, glad you got there safely. Just want you to know that the Naki has had an average of 23 degrees, total sun, no wind etc for the past week!!! You should have stayed here longer and given Sydney a miss – lol Ahhhhhhhh BUT then I wouldn’t have had the chance to enjoy the duty free alcohol when we come down would I? Have a great time and don’t worry about Sarah, she is on a 7 day shopping spree!!!!!! Second thoughts COME HOME SOON. Love and Best Wishes to Ritchie.
P.S This is a great idea – love it
